Today was manic! We didn't want to risk missing anything because of Christmas so we booked to do everything today. First we went to the elephant sanctuary and saw some bathing and being fed (we did feed one bananas but unfortunately we don't have any photos :()

Then Sigirya on Caroline's recommendation it was brilliant but blimey it was hard work in the heat! (Over 30 degrees). It's amazing - there was a castle on the top of this mountain.

So we drove for about ten hours and o slept for about seven of them. Which is great but I missed all the drama of being stopped still in traffic for an hour and half. We arrived back just in time for the Christmas Eve gala and I have never seen so much food!

Today we flew and flew and flew! The Etihad girls were lovely and gave is three champagne each, some extra nuts to snack on and a lovely desert medley on a slate plate. They even made us a card!

Well we had a very exciting trip into Coleford to get some nail clippers to fix Pauls broken nail after he bent it back putting up the tent. Now it's wine o'clock!

The campsite is nice. It's bracelands and only two seconds from Symonds Yat. Big though, and I think there's a bunch of guides on one side!

We've had a bit of a tour around the Forest of Dean today. Got a bit lost once and there was a bit of traffic but the sights were worth it :)

Starting in Tintern Abbey which was huge and really pretty.

Today we replaced the carpet with liner, repaired the electrics and lined the cupboards. It's looking pretty good!

Today it feels like we've been all around Herefordshire! We started off trying to go for a swim but it was one of those days where as soon as we got slightly close it would start to rain!! So instead we did the black & white heritage trail, some of it forwards, some of it backwards and one village we circled round!! Pretty though. This is Woebly.

It didn't last long before it started to rain so we had to have lunch in the car.

Now we're enjoying a Cherry B and a read (one of us in in the sun).
